A Guide To Fitness Success for Every Woman

I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker on Dr. Kesha Moore, owner of Life In Fitness Coaching’s vLog.

I cover topics like :

  • Why weight-loss programs with pre-packaged meals are dangerous.
  • Why skinny isn’t an appropriate fitness goal.
  • How to decide which type of exercise is going to get the best results for your body.
  • How to find time to prepare healthy meals.
  • How to tell the difference between a plateau and a healthy weight.

If you’ve got some down-time today, listen in and catch up with some great tips on living your healthiest life yet.

And if you want more information, drop me a line below and lets connect.

More Blessings I Was Able To Give – Thanks to Beachbody

This post is long overdue, but last month I donated another 10% of my Beachbody earnings for Q2 to two organizations in need.  The first was the International Justice Mission, which I have given to before, and again, and will continue to do so as long as there are needy people in the world.

I also was lucky enough to meet a delightful woman last month in Nashville who was interested in joining the team of Beachbody coaches.  Through our conversation, I found out she was the owner and founder of a Non-Profit group and I was able to donate to her mission as well.

Blessed!

Time To Give Back

DonationsLast year I really started to see my checks grow by helping people live healthy and fulfilling lives, so I decided to start giving back…10% actually.  It’s what they ask for in church.  10% of your income.  While my donations will be different organizations, I am committed to  giving 10% of my Beachbody income, and I’m going to do this quarterly instead of waiting until the end of the year.

I have my eye on a few organizations, and I have enjoyed giving to

  • International Justice
  • Leukemia Society

But WHO ELSE is in need?  I’d love to give to your cause, and will most likely split the money between several organizations.  Shout out here any details of your organization that is near and dear to your heart and I’m sure I’ll spread a little cheer your way.

Thankful

I am thankful for Beachbody for giving me this opportunity to help people with their health and fitness goals.

In return, I have been able to do a few things for myself:

  • I paid off all my physical therapy bills after my shoulder NewSmilesurgery
  • I got new front teeth
  • I was so overcome with joy by this experience I decided to start donating a portion of my earning to charity

Even as double-income no-kids (D.I.N.K.S) we have high expenses living in Chicago.  Our mortgage is easily 2-2.5 times it would be if we chose to live in the suburbs, and we do enjoy concerts, eating out, Cubs Season Tickets, and vacations.  So these things costs money and even with a paycheck every week, there seems little left when all is said and done.

My first donation goes to International Justice Mission.  It’s only $153 but I hope to make a much larger contribution at the end of 2015.  IJM works to combat human trafficking including the commercial sexual exploitation of children, forced labor slavery.  I have no personal connection to these issues, but it has touched me deeply, and I felt empowered to help.  Even just a little bit.

I don’t know how I would have paid off my doctor’s bills without the extra income, without giving up many of my extra curricular activities.

I have been dreaming about fixing my front teeth for AT LEAST 6 years.  If not longer.  I FINALLY had the savings to do it.

And I give haphazardly to charities, but I made a conscious decision after I looked at my year-end finances to do a little something for this cause.

Whether you raise your kids at home, or work at a corporate job, if you look back to 2014 and you’re not any better off financially than you were in the beginning of the year, ask yourself: how much longer will I let this cycle repeat itself?

If you are willing to help others in their health and fitness journey, and make positive changes financially for your family, then please contact me below and lets talk about your future and helping not only your family, but those who who don’t have any family to help.
