Does Couch to 5K Work?
I don’t know. You can either watch me or you can join me.
Here we are: 2021

We put dear Jester to rest the summer of 2019, and later that year adopted our newest best buddy – Shadow.
He really, really, really likes to play with other dogs but will tolerate walking or running with me because it gives him the best chance of seeing other dogs to play with. #winwin
Here’s where I’ll document my 9 week Couch to 5K training. I couldn’t have timed it more perfectly because I’ll be trained up and ready to run all 3.1 miles just in time for my next birthday!
Happy Health Birthday to me!
Can anyone do Couch to 5K?
I know I can. And to ensure I don’t fall behind, I’ll be back every week tracking my workouts and my progress. PLUS I booked a birthday vacation the week after I finish so there’s my motivation right there! My regular running path is actually 3.4 miles so I always start with a 5 minute warmup and end with a cool down. I’d rather be an overachiever than sell myself short.

What do you do after couch to 5K?
After enjoying my birthday and a week in Mexico, drinking umbrella drinks and swimming with the fishies I’m sure I’ll come up with a new challenge to tackle. What about you?
